ahs year 8 boys football success!
By Harvey Goodwin
Recently the year 8 football team played a match against St Clements. I am proud to say we won 5:2.
In my opinion I think the game went very well. In the first half we were 2:1 up. It was disappointing to concede a goal but in the second half we played better and scored a cracking amount of three goals. I think after reflecting the one thing we could have done better was to take our time more and then we wouldn’t have conceded. We can also work on completing more passes.
Here is a special mention to James Watson and Reuben Johnson also Levi Cutting for scoring our goals throughout our game. It wouldn’t have have been the same without you so cheers lads for the great work and effort - this was a big win for all of the team.
I play as a striker and sometimes in midfield. I have only played two matches for school but I think it’s going really well and I want to keep playing for the team and going to training every Thursday lunch time. Going to clubs and training is the best way to get into the team for the school.
Eventually I would like to go into a career in football. It’s one of my biggest dreams and I would like it to come true. The team I support is Norwich City and the player I look up to is Cristiano Ronaldo (only because I want to learn how to strike a ball that well and also to learn how to do free kicks and penalties) but the team I do want to play for is probably Norwich City or anyone in the premier league.
