Ace of Spades is a creepy thriller with many jaw dropping plot twists. This book delves into institutionalised racism and has triggering themes such as assault, racism, trauma, homophobia, stalking and drugs.Two Black teens become the targets of an anonymous texter and they must work together to take them down as they battle with their classmates’s racism and classism, that creates barriers to success in Black students. Ace of spades is an incredibly addictive mind-screwing mystery. In addition, Ace of Spades delves into a dark academia setting; that academia is overwhelmingly white and classist. After reading you will want to re-read it is so satisfyingly brilliant.
